In our cas group we set a goal of raising $1,000 to $1500 dollars and we were able to raise half of this after having many difficulties and challenges some on our own accords and others due to unforeseeable issues. After having a major bloc in time in which we did not focus on working on our group because we were considering different ideas and goals like working on producing a cookbook based on vegan dishes we experiences around New York City. After junior year we only had completed a total of two bake sales totaling us close to 100 dollars, nowhere near our initial goal, see my group and i realized that we needed to take action and narrow our focus to one idea, which was Trivia night. After meeting with Peter and attaining a new supervisor, Mr. Rabinowitz who was more oriented towards trivia, we were able to plan trivia night, hold more bake sales as well as hold raffles. This helped us get a lot closer to our original goal and the process helped me to realize a few things like breaks are parts of time in which everyone must be working and how important it is to stick to a schedule as getting behind creates even more setback like creating a date for the night and not being able to move forward.

Overall I believe our trivia night was very successful in the number of teams that attended, the amount of support we got from each of the 6 grades from our school and the number of tickets we sold prior. In terms of our marketing we were able to put up a large number of fliers and two different ones in fact that I believe helped spread the news of our event and overtime help us to sell the amount of tickets we did. I believe working in this group helped me as a leader as I set dates for different events as well as deadlines for things like questions and flyers designs. It was difficult for me to step outside my role of being a student peer and really being strict in members if my group to get the work that needed to be done completed by the proper deadline and this proved to be stressful as I had to re-edit the group’s overall schedule multiple times. This helps for the most part to stay on track later on in the year and help us to pass the benchmarks to successfully carry out trivia night in our school.
